With licensed aircraft such as the F-14D and Tornado F3, and a strategic AI system where the course of the player's actions directly affect their mission objectives, Ace Combat X - Skies of Deception allows the player to take on the role of an ace pilot trying to liberate his home country of Aurelia from its neighbor, Leasath. A country filled with secretive motives veiled behind long-internal conflicts, Leasath, has invaded and taken over Aurelia. Defending the invaded country, the player's mission is to take them to the battle-filled skies in order to take down the enemy and restore freedom and peace to his homeland.
Developed by Project Aces, Ace Combat X2 - Joint Assault blazes with edge-of-your-seat action as new aircrafts scream across the sky through multiple real-world locations including Tokyo, San Francisco, and London. An advanced enemy A.I. changes the mission flow dynamically based on decisions made within the campaign, forcing players to strategically plan their attack. A sophisticated dogfighting system, increased sense of speed and photorealistic graphics, make ACE COMBAT JOINT ASSAULT one of the most intense experiences ever on a handheld system.
Ace Combat - Joint Assault features both a single-player mode as well as a multiplayer mode supporting ad hoc and Infrastructure mode. The game features a co-operative campaign which can be played with up to four players as well as a competitive multiplayer mode supporting up to eight players. Some missions in the campaign will make use of the Joint Assault Mission System, which breaks the players into teams and has them coordinate attacks where each effort can affect the other team's situation. A new feature of the game is the Enhanced Combat View mechanic, which removes the distanced fighting seen in almost every flight simulation game.
Ace Combat - Joint Assault leaves the fictional worlds of previous Ace Combat installments and enters the real world. The missions take place over London, Tokyo and San Francisco, but still feature fictional elements like huge flying fortresses. The player takes the role of a young pilot who joins the private military force Martinez Security and soon has to fight the Valahia, some sort of bandits which threaten whole cities - but of course the plot soon becomes more complicated.
A la Croisee des Mondes - La Boussole d'Or is an action-adventure/puzzle game played from a third-person perspective. Players control either Lyra Belacqua and her dæmon Pan, or the Panserbjørne Iorek Byrnison. Lyra's levels primarily involve platforming, stealth and puzzle solving, whilst Iorek's are mainly melee combat based.
